As a champion of mental health and wellbeing, I believe that each day is an opportunity for us to create positive change in our lives.
I love the quote:"Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most" because it reminds us that we have the power to shape our lives and make each day count.
Many of us experience stress, anxiety, and poor sleep due to the demands of work and home. This can take a toll on our mental and physical health, leaving us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected. However, we can take steps to improve our wellbeing and regain a sense of balance and peace.
As a yoga therapist and breathing coach, I work with individuals who are struggling with chronic stress, anxiety, and poor sleep. I teach them techniques to calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. One of my favourite techniques is the full yogic breath. This involves breathing deeply and fully, expanding the belly on the inhale and relaxing it on the exhale. It is a simple yet powerful way to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
The quote "Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most" encourages us to take action towards our wellbeing each day. We can make small changes in our daily routine to improve our mental and physical health. This could include taking a few minutes each morning to practice mindfulness or breathwork, going for a walk outside, or scheduling time for self-care activities such as yoga or meditation.
But it's not all about work and self-care. It's also important to have fun and connect with the people in our lives who matter most. In fact, research has shown that social connections are vital for our mental and physical health. For me, nothing is better for letting go of tension than when Kajal and I spend time messing about by having a little foolish fun - as you can see in the photo...Kajal making me feel small :)
So, on this Sunday (any day for that matter), I encourage you to do something fun and exciting with the nearest and dearest people in your life.
This could be anything from going for a walk in the woods, trying a new restaurant, go to a comedy club, or taking a dance class together. The point is to do something that brings joy and laughter into your life. When we have fun and connect with others, we reduce stress, boost our mood, and improve our overall wellbeing.
As we start a new day, we have the opportunity to set intentions and take action towards our goals. We can let go of the past and focus on the present moment. We can approach each task with a sense of purpose and mindfulness, making the most of our time and energy. By doing so, we can create a life that is fulfilling, meaningful, and aligned with our values.
I hope this quote "Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most" inspires you to take action towards your wellbeing each day, while also making time for fun and connection with loved ones. Incorporate mindfulness and breathwork into your daily routine, but don't forget to also make time for joy and laughter.
Wishing you a happy and fulfilling Sunday!
